Since 1961 the Pacific Northwest Basketball Officials Association has provided qualified referees for youth, adult, recreation, and school basketball games in the greater Puget Sound Region. Our referees are independent contractors and officiate nearly 25,000 Seattle area school and recreation game assignments each year.

We provide ongoing referee training, scholarships, and advancement for our members. The PNBOA is a member of the Washington Officials Association, sanctioned by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.
